BethBuckHeadshots(4of4)I have a black belt in Karate, a spinning wheel, and a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies/ Arabic. I first showed talent for telling stories in Kindergarten when I used to tell my teacher elaborate, made-up stories about people dying and becoming an orphan, some of which got me into trouble. My first written story that I can remember was The Dark Crystal fan fiction, which prompted a concerned phone call home from my 2nd-grade teacher (she hadn’t seen the movie).

It wasn’t until I grew up, got a rejection letter from the CIA, and had a few kids that I realized I was allowed to take myself seriously as a writer. So now here we are.

I’m also an acquisitions editor for Immortal Works, and write stuff for Fiction Vortex which will hopefully see the light of day sometime in 2017.

I’ve been all over the world, including multiple Middle Eastern countries, but currently make my home in the Intermountain West.
